EDVA Committee Meeting 17^th October 2005

Chairman opened the meeting at 7pm

2. Matters Arising
   Concerns were raised over the direction and progress of the association.  Ros to look into producing a development plan linked to national and regional development.
   
   
3. Chairman’s Report
   Nothing to report. 
   
   
4. Secretary’s report
   Some teams have replied with EVA registration numbers but still waiting for others.
   
   
5. Treasurer’s report
   Treasurer has raised concerns over finances for the previous year.  The following areas gave most concern:
   team registration - £40 down on previous year
   player registration - £113 down
   tournament - £350 down
   
   We need to be prudent this year with expenditure and keep a close eye on costs for next year’s tournaments.
   
   
6. Development officer
   Kings have decided to go for Sport England’s Club Mark scheme.  Ros is suggesting that other club’s should also look into it.
   
   Ros feels that the EDVA should have some volleyball kits of its own that could be leant out to schools when required to help promote volleyball.
   
   
7. Fixtures secretary
   The EDVA booklet has been competed and is now available.  The new mixed league is an extension of the current league and is to be played under the same rules.  If you are registered with a club in div 1,2 or 3 you are only allowed to play for the same club in the mixed league.
   
   
8. Tournament secretary
   Mike is happy to oversee all summer tournaments and is to begin enquiries regarding organisation.
