Secretary’s
Report
Had a request from
Exeter Uni players who wanted to know if any tournaments could be played on
Saturdays instead of Sundays – it was reported that when tournaments had been
played on Saturdays there was usually a much lower attendance as a lot of people
work on Saturdays.
Still following up on
perpetual trophies, relevant teams to return a.s.a.p.

Report
Changeover of
signatures still work in progress. All monies and outstanding amount collected.
Cheque to be issued to Jason Hendy for £233 towards beach nets – approved by
previous committee. Each club rep now has a summary sheet for extra player
registrations, please use this as an invoice.
Individual players letters to be sent to clubs for players fines (e.g. for yellow card's etc).
Fixtures Secretary
Report
1st
Division seems to be flowing well, no major problems. 2 yellow cards issued, 1
against Kings and 1 against Uni. 2nd Div had a few problems with late
score sheets, 1 from Taunton who accepted the decision. Wanderers Vikings also
failed to send in a score sheet on time and the committee voted 6-1 on this
items to fine the team 1 league point and £2 fine. Wanderers Lions also
postponed a match against Birdmen due to a lack of players, this is against the
leagues rules and the match would be awarded to Birdmen. A match at Channings
wood had to be cancelled due to a leaking roof this would be rearranged. Uni
also had to cancel a match at short notice due to a B.U.S.A. Tournament, this
would also be rearranged.
Finding referee’s
had been difficult, Kings were having more problems that most as their matches
clash with a lot of the Exeter home fixtures.
Could all teams make
sure that they tick the relevant boxes on the score sheet for play up’s and
new registrations.
