Chairman’s
Report
The
committee is going ahead with a fun tournament night at the Riverside on the
25th April all individuals welcome from clubs, this was supposed to
be an awards evening but as the final results will not be in the awards will
hopefully be held on a future date.

courts booked from
Treasurer’s
Report
Most
money in from all clubs, there will be a final account at end of season.
Moving account to Britannia building society as they produce a monthly
statement. After speaking to the previous treasurer it was assumed that all
clubs would have paid the goodwill deposits as it was too difficult and time
consuming to go back through the previous accounts.
Fixture’s
Secretary Report
Both
divisions are tight at the top. Birdmen in Div 2 had to concede there last 2
matches due to the sports hall having a new floor and were unsure whether
their last match would be played, this could then give the title to
Div
1 is between Kirton and Buzzards, if Buzzards drop any matches or sets then
Kirton would take the title.
If
Birdmen take the Div 2 title then the committee will need to decide whether to
allow the Birdmen to move into Div 1, this would mean a change in the
constitution at the AGM. Currently
Tournament
Secretary Report
Plans
have now been made for the Beach League to go ahead, starting early May.
Permission has been granted to use the beach, on the condition that public
liability insurance is taken out and Health and Safety brief. Entry forms now
on the website.
The
beach league needs a sub committee.
All
profits from both Men’s and Ladies tournaments held in April will be donated
to the E.D.V.A. fund.
Level
2 coaching course being held in Redruth, 23rd, 24th and
25th May, cost £50.
Ladies
teams from
Help
is needed to run the Junior Tournament in July, entry would be £5 per team,
D.R. to approach Exmouth Town Council for sponsorship or the E.D.V.A. to
underwrite.

Secretary’s Report
Couple
of items have been put into the Express and Echo
Marjon
A
request had been received from Marjon to enter the E.D.V.A. Most clubs were in
favour in principle although D.R. to approach Kevin to find out what level
players would be hoping to play.
A.O.B
S.P.
had a request from Martin Oram for the E.D.V.A to sponsor the junior
tournament on Coaver weekend for £150. Committee Agreed.
G.P.
reported that Channings wood roof was done and the court would be up and
running for next season. G.P. also asked about the possibility of a cup
competition next season.
