Treasurers Report

 

Money is expected to come into the account from the pairs tournament. £500 spent on equipment this season so far but this cost has been covered by the money collected from the beach league. It is coming up to the end of year soon so AL asks for all outstanding monies to be paid up soon to be included in the accounts.

 

Fixtures Secretary Report

 

Application forms have all been sent out although none received back as yet. Forms need to be in by the 31^st August.

RS asked what level of fine should be imposed on Kirton and Channings Wood for missing the A.G.M. The committee decided that this year it should be set at £5 and the amount or forfeit would be discussed for future A.G.M.’s.

 

Tournament Secretary Report

 

Enquiries had been made about Volleyball England providing beach volleyball nets on Torbay beaches.

Disappointment that no local junior teams had entered the South West Junior beach tournament.

Exmouth Journal have published articles about the beach league and tournaments.

 

Beach Coordinator

 

The recent pairs tournament attracted 15 men's and 10 ladies teams, hoping to raise £150.

The beach league finishes Tuesday 2^nd Sept.

The E.D.V.A. would contribute £50 towards BBQ instead of giving prizes. Weather permitting.

G.P. asked for his team registrations to be capped as it is more difficult for him to collect extra money during the season from the prison authorities. The committee agreed to cap both Channings and Exeter at 15 registrations for this coming season.
